Job Description Job Title: Pathologists Assistant (2nd shift 1PM
-9:30PM) Nashville, TN Job Description: Perform macroscopic
examination, dissection, and description of surgical specimens
under the supervision of a Pathologist. Prepare tissue samples for
microscopic examination by the Pathologist. Assist in autopsies by
eviscerating the body, dissecting organs, and collecting samples
for further analysis. Accurately document findings and maintain
detailed records of procedures performed. Handle and dispose of
biohazardous materials according to safety regulations. Ensure
proper functioning of laboratory equipment and assist with
maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. Adhere to all relevant
protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work
environment. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in biological sciences
or related field. Completion of a Pathologists' Assistant program
accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical
Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). ASCP certification as a Pathologists'
Assistant. Prior experience working in a pathology laboratory
setting. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to
work the 2nd shift from 1PM to 9:30PM. Contact: To apply, email
