Lab Technician

Job Description:

First shift position, start time is flexible and can range between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Description: • Cleans, maintains and calibrates standard equipment and maintains a clean and safe working environment. • Completes appropriate forms and documentation regarding tasks and requests; receives direction from other technicians or chemists on specialized or complex issues. • Performs basic calculations to prepare, perform, and conclude samples. • Performs basic technical tests and analyses based on formulas and project requirements; tasks are more standard and require limited judgment within established guidelines. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Prepares basic samples, materials, equipment, and other required tools for laboratory tests or development. • Performs coating spray application. Skill/Experience/Education: Mandatory: • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent • Knowledge of basic math skills • Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis • Ability to learn software used in lab. • Ability to complete work in a timely manner. • Must pay attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and work with a team.
