Job Details Description Drayage Business Development Manager The
Business Development Manager (Drayage) is responsible for
prospecting and closing new business as well as supporting account
maintenance. This sales leader own the drayage strategy and drive
growth of the department. This dynamic role will require
collaboration with internal customers in our GEODIS Freight
Forwarding business development team and manage their own pipeline

GEODIS Capacity Solutions growth strategy for asset and non asset
drayage services. Engage in the business development processes to
analyze client requirements, determine fit and customizations,
develop proposals, cost estimates and present capabilities and
solutions to client prospects. Reach and exceed targeted goals by
closing new business and retaining/expanding the relationships for
existing customers Be accountable for end-to-end performance of
strategic opportunities including acquisition of RFP, efficient and
competitive pricing, closing of the award and implementation. Work
with new customers during implementation process to ensure any
potential issues are addressed in a timely manner. Monitor progress
and delivery of services according to service level commitments.
Hire, develop, coach and mentor a team of Customer Sales and/or
Customer Operations Representatives to maximize productivity,
efficiency, and profitability. Handle discipline and termination of
employees in accordance with company policy Other duties as
required and assigned What you need: (requirements) Experience
Minimum 6-10 years of related experience with a heavy concentration
and demonstrated track record of successful customer acquisition in
drayage and intermodal sales Experience with Transportation
Management Systems, market rate tools/software, analysis with large
data sets PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word,
Access and Excel Excellent written and oral communication skills
that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a
range of internal and external customers. Excellent planning and
organizational skills Knowledge of domestic transportation and
documentation for all utilized modes of transport Knowledge of
regulatory compliance associated with US truck freight brokerage
