Our team strives to create and deliver a unique, client-focused experience.--Job Purpose--The Underwriter plays an integral part in the success of the underwriting department. The Underwriter is responsible for ensuring that high-quality service is delivered to clients in the process of completing transactions across agency, balance sheet, and/or Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities executions. Underwriters are responsible for the completion and presentation of credit risk analyses of properties, markets, borrowers, and loans. In addition to performing your responsibilities autonomously, you may play a leadership role across deal teams by guiding and shaping less experienced associates. This is a great opportunity to see a variety of commercial real estate product types.----Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, interpret, and underwrite multifamily real estate transactions in compliance with respective agency guidelinesDemonstrate ownership of your work, take on challenges and demonstrate patience when learning new processesAnalyze and review borrower credit information and structure, third party reports, property financials and physical information to determine deal viabilityCross-train across the Company's various products to cultivate ability to underwrite a variety of deal types--Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required; business, communications, or analytical-related field of study preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelExperience with multifamily housing productsMust pass pre-employment screenings----Preferred Qualifications3+ years' experience in commercial real estate underwriting/ financial analytical capacity, strongly preferred--Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in underwriting.
