Our Tyler Inpatient Rehab is seeking an experienced LPTA. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Physical Therapy department where you will be responsible for: What You Will Be Doing: The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant shall be responsible for providing, under the direction of licensed Physical Therapist, a full range of age appropriate therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. Provides age appropriate treatment according to established goals on the treatment plan and assists the supervising Physical Therapist in reassessing patient's functional status when goals are met or there is a change in patient's condition. Instructs/educates patients/families in appropriate activities, home programs and referral to community resources utilizing both verbal and written programs. Documents progress in the medical record and maintains patient records as required. Communicates with patients, families and all health care professionals required to provide comprehensive interdisciplinary care. Maintains skills and knowledge through training and continuing education to provide expected standards of care. Participates in internal and external activities designed to promote awareness of rehabilitation and other health related subjects. Responsibilities Education: Graduate of a PTO approved Associates degree program Experience: 3-5 years experience preferred in acute or outpatient setting Strong verbal and written communication skills Active listening skills Good problem solving skills A personal demeanor that exemplifies courtesy and empathy Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system; database and word processing skills required Strong time management skills Ability to think strategically and act tactically Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time Ability to embrace the client relationship to guide decisions and actions Demonstrates good team work Certification and Licensure: Current professional license active and valid in the State of Texas.
