Our UT Health Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced
Respiratory Therapist Aide . We are looking for your
experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Pulmonary
department where you will be responsible for:
POSITION SUMMARY: Assist respiratory therapists in
activities related to preparation for patient care, ensuring
critical supplies are available for care, or recovering and
cleaning equipment at the completion of therapy. Subject to
overtime and call back as required by hospital.
What You Will Be Doing:
Prepare equipment and supplies for respiratory therapist to
perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a manner that
ensures an accurate and complete examination/treatment by complying
with established policies and procedures.
Organizes and documents all aspects of assigned duties in
coordination with therapists, nursing personnel, and other areas of
department to ensure accurate and timely performance of therapeutic
Participates in performance improvement activities by
participating in the collection of data for performance improvement
activities to ensure quality is consistent with established
Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development
by participating in educational activities to promote continuous
improvement and compliance with patient care standards.
So what experience are we looking for in our Respiratory
High School Diploma or equivalent
Currently enrolled in an CoARC approved Respiratory Therapy
Completion of 1st year of respiratory therapy program
Knowledge and ability to operate all respiratory equipment
Certification and Licensure:
CPR Certified Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire
Comply with regulatory requirements, guidelines, and
