Job Description:
West Fraser is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our
team as Production Operator Apprentices. This role is vital to our
ongoing success as a leading North American wood products company.
As an apprentice, you will learn to operate various types of
machinery and equipment used in the production of lumber, plywood,
and other wood products. You will be trained in the company's
rigorous safety and quality standards, ensuring that our products
continue to meet the high expectations of our customers while
contributing to sustainable forestry practices. Operate machinery
and equipment used in the manufacturing of wood products under
supervision Monitor product quality and make adjustments as
necessary to meet company standards Assist in the maintenance and
repair of manufacturing equipment Participate in safety briefings
and comply with all workplace safety guidelines Collaborate with
other team members to meet production targets and efficiency goals
Maintain a clean and organized work environment Participate in
training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and adhere to
industry standards Basic understanding of machinery and tools
Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy loads Strong
attention to detail Effective communication skills Problem-solving
and troubleshooting abilities Willingness to learn and adapt in a

preferred but not required First Aid and CPR certification is
