serve.Job SummaryThe Telecom Analyst -a key role in supporting
finance and CLEC operations with the goal of achieving significant
reductions in total cost of telephony services and improved
business operations. In addition, strives to deliver year-over-year
productivity improvements while maintaining or improving service
levels and reliability. Works closely with CLEC Operations,
Engineering, and key stakeholders in business lines, corporate
functions, and supplier organizations to develop and maintain
effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans. The
position is responsible for supporting, documenting, and ensuring
business realization of real value creation, including cost savings
and system(s) productivity, through vendor contracts, performance
management and other cost reduction initiatives. Activities will
include, but are not limited to, conducting market analyses, spend
analysis, cost modeling, business case development, vendor
performance management, savings validation, and
reporting.Responsibilities
- Reconcile, monitor, and correct discrepancies with vendor
charges, ensuring credits are received or payments made, then
taking corrective action as necessary.
- Provide analysis and project management support to enable and
drive cost savings and measure compliance.
- Develop, manage, and report contract compliance and key
performance indicators for savings initiatives.
- Develop and provide ad hoc reports to meet one-time and
evolving information needs in an efficient and consistent
manner.
- Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders, including
site leadership.
- Maintain 9-1-1 addressing database and liaise with third party
911 vendor.
- Develop, maintain and audit switched access costs as well as
fixed circuit costs in support of costing and pricing initiatives
for CLEC operations.
- Analyze and submit access service requests (ASR) as required
for network optimization and/or ILEC groom projects.
- Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of our underlying
voice services fixed and variable cost structure. Identify areas
for improvement and perform variance analysis and reporting.
- Develop various cost segments to support customer pricing
initiatives and/or new routing schemas.
- Perform analysis functions to tie various data sources to
supporting cost templates.
- Develop monthly reports including month-over-month cost
variance analysis and drivers, projection of target cost and cost
trends on a rolling 12-month period.
- Document policies and procedures and identify ways to improve
existing methods.
- Identify optimization efforts and/or critical issues and
develop recommendations to management.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years' relevant experience in business
analysis role
- Highly developed analytical, financial, interpersonal and
presentation skills
- Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities
- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills
- Good business acumen, with broad-based knowledge of financial
processes and systems
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
- Strong process orientation and demonstrated continuous
improvement skills
