Job Description:
David Raines Community Health Centers is looking for passionate,
qualified applicants to join our team! The Pediatric Nurse
Practitioner works under the supervision of the Pediatrician
Director and in close coordination with other clinical personnel.
The PNP will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive
healthcare services to children in the Shreveport/Bossier. This
position is responsible for comprehensive patient care for
children, encompassing well-child exams, illness diagnosis, and
treatment, and health promotion. The PNP will collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and provide
education to families about health maintenance and disease
prevention. The goal is to promote the health and well-being of
children, fostering a supportive environment for their growth and
development. Work Experience Requirements: Provides direct
pediatric care to clinic patients, including examination, diagnosis
and treatment according to established policy and protocol. Conduct
thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric
patients. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in
children, including prescribing medications as necessary. Develop
and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with
families and healthcare team members. Educate patients and their
families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management
of health conditions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient
records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Education/Experience Requirements: Master's degree in Nursing with
a specialization in Pediatric Nursing. Current Nurse Practitioner
license in the state of Louisiana. Certification as a Pediatric
Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or equivalent. Experience working in a
pediatric healthcare setting. Familiarity with electronic health
