Job Description:
Description Job Summary We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or
Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team in Texarkana,
TX . This position is inpatient-focused and centers on hospital
rounding and medical management of surgical patients. There are no
procedural responsibilities , making this an excellent opportunity
for an APP who enjoys inpatient care and continuity of patient
management. The schedule is flexible and designed to support
work-life balance. Key Responsibilities - Perform daily inpatient
rounding on general surgery patients - Manage post-operative care,
monitor patient progress, and address medical issues - Coordinate
care with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary services - Order,
review, and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies -
Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education -
Document care accurately and timely in the EMR Qualifications -
Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician
Assistant - National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) - Acute
care or inpatient experience preferred - Strong clinical assessment
and communication skills - Ability to work independently in a
hospital-based setting Schedule & Compensation - Inpatient-only
