degree Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurosurgery Eligible
for Texas medical licensure Position OverviewEmployed position
within a stable, health system-based practiceTeam includes 1
Neurosurgeon and 1 highly experienced Physician AssistantCase mix:
Approximately 80% spine surgery (no orthopedic surgeons performing
spine cases)Physician Assistant supports both office and hospital
settingsCall schedule: 7 days per month, compensated at $1,500 per
shift (option to take additional call)Mix of inpatient and
outpatient responsibilitiesRobust referral network in place About
the Spine InstitutePrimary Care Physicians refer patients to the
Spine Clinic, led by the Physician AssistantThe PA conducts initial
evaluations, orders imaging, and coordinates pain management and
physical therapy as neededSurgical candidates are referred to the
Neurosurgeon for consultHospital & Organizational
HighlightsSupportive executive leadership team155-bed hospital with
11-bed ICULevel 4 Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
designation21,000 patient days and 6,000 admissions annually75
