Physical Therapist Location: Canton, TX 75103 Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Shift: DAYS 8A-5P (*Close early Fri, extra
hour can be made up during M-Th*) Total Weekly Gross: $2,480 weekly
on 40 hours ($62.00/hr) Weekly Stipend: $1500 Weekly Taxable: $980
for 40 hours Start date: 02/09 Type of patients are mainly ortho
and some neuro Patient ratio 1:1 (one patient every 45 mins)
Summary: The Physical Therapist has the responsibility and
accountability for assessing, planning, evaluating and implementing
care for the patients assigned physical therapy. The Physical
Therapist is responsible for adhering to all standards of Physical
Therapy Practice Act as they apply to providing technical therapy
care, supplies, equipment and interventions to a designated patient
population. Responsibilities: Gathers pertinent data from chart and
other care givers; discusses with physician as necessary
Independently assesses all patient types as assigned Demonstrates
ability to recognize additional needs during evaluation; exercises
good judgment in decision making when requesting, scheduling and/or
performing additional testing Interprets results and formulates
relevant, measurable, realistic and attainable goals Reassesses
patient progress regularly per department and regulatory policy, or
when need arises Identifies appropriate equipment, discusses with
patient and family Requirements: Doctorate Prof PT License in state
of TX BLS (AHA only)
