Job Description Faculty position employed by the University of
Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East
Texas facilities. UT Tyler School of Medicine - UT Health East
Texas is hiring a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join
our elite team at the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center in Tyler,
nestled in the picturesque Texas Pineywoods. As part of UT Health
Tyler, one of 9 facilities within UT Health East Texas, you'll be
at the forefront of emergency care in a facility that also serves
as a Level II Primary Stroke Center and the hub for UT Health East
Texas EMS and AIR 1. Key Highlights: • Team Composition: 15
Emergency Medicine Physicians and 7 Advanced Practice Providers. •
Facility Details: 36 ED beds, including three exam rooms, currently
staffed at 24 (12 holding beds). • EMR: Epic • Schedule: Flexible
12-hour shifts, totaling 12 shifts per month. Qualifications: ABEM
board certified/eligible. Both experienced and graduating Emergency
Medicine physicians are encouraged to apply. Competitive

School of Medicine: The University of Texas at Tyler School of
Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh

healthcare professionals to embrace responsibility for the unique
needs of rural and hard-to-reach communities and populations,
particularly those in East Texas. The school offers a robust
Graduate Medical Education program, with 20 residency and
fellowship training programs, enabling graduates to gain

medicine, neurology, psychiatry, surgery, and anesthesia.

248,000-square-foot Medical Education Building (MEB) in Tyler’s

education program expansion throughout the UT Health East Texas
Health System. The building is scheduled for completion in fall of

School of Medicine combines advanced research, hands-on learning,

new generation of physicians prepared to improve healthcare
