Job Description:

- Administers anesthetics to surgical and obstetrical patients under supervision.
- Preoperative: reviews patient history, physical condition, allergies, lab/test results, and consults with physicians. Meets with patients/families pre-op.
- Intraoperative: prepares equipment, monitors, supplies, administers drugs/blood/fluids, documents events, manages airway and patient responses, and seeks consultation when needed.
- Manages various anesthesia modes, performs ancillary procedures like IV placement, arterial lines, resuscitation, and supports patient stability.
- Participates in clinical, administrative, and quality improvements, supports training, and fosters teamwork.
- Maintains professional attitude, confidentiality, and adheres to ethical standards. Contributes positively to team dynamics and department goals.
- Qualifications include graduation from accredited nursing and anesthesia schools, current Arkansas licenses, ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications, and ongoing education.
- Demonstrates necessary skills in infection control, safety, and departmental participation. Must communicate effectively in English.
