Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Lab Administrator General to join our team at Christus Health. This is a per diem position that requires a strong background in laboratory procedures, quality control, and patient care.Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complicated laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, and result calculation.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Assure quality control program adherence and participate in the evaluation and implementation of new testing procedures.
• Process patient specimens, including collection, handling, and distribution.
• Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new or updated testing protocols.
• Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique patient needs.
• Adhere to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care's CORE values.
• Complete required compliance and regulatory tasks and follow applicable policies and procedures.Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • One year of experience required for graduates of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by NAACLS, or two years of approved clinical laboratory experience.
  • Certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS.
  • New Graduate must be Board Certified or eligible within one year of hire.Work ScheduleTBDWork TypePer Diem As Needed
