Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans, in a clear and concise manner.
• Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of combined experience required in both the Critical Care setting and one other specialty (e.g. Medsurg, Telemetry, IMC or Emergency).
  • 5 years of experience preferred.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required.
  • RN License in state of employment or compact required.
  • PALS required within 30 days of hire at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital or SPOHN.
  • De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire at SPOHN.Work Schedule:TBDWork Type:Full Time
