Overview:
Join our UT Tyler team as a Part-Time, Phelbotomist on the early
day shift today! Shift details: M-F 0300-0800, Rotates every other
weekend working 0300-1130 and rotates every other holiday.

Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our UT Health Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced
Phlebotomist. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and
patient care skills in
our Laboratory where you will be responsible for:
DUTIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collect blood
specimens by venipuncture of capillary method or urine drug screens
in a timely, effective manner using organization policies and
procedures - Follow organization policies and procedures for proper
identification of the patient and properly label all specimens at
the bedside - Responds in an effective manner to priority
collection needs. Organizes work in order to obtain acceptable
turnaround time for collection of all priorities of specimens -
Performs bedside testing procedures i.e. bleeding times, clotting
times, therapeutic phlebotomies
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Education: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year phlebotomy experience preferred
Experience: - Prefer some phlebotomy experience - Strong verbal and
written communication skills - Active listening skills - Good
problem solving skills - A personal demeanor that exemplifies
courtesy and empathy - Basic personal computer skills and comfort
with Microsoft Windows operating system; database and word
processing skills required - Strong time management skills -
Ability to think strategically and act tactically - Ability to
handle multiple tasks at the same time - Ability to embrace the
client relationship to guide decisions and actions - Demonstrates
good team work
Certification and Licensure: - None
