Job Description:
The CT/ Radiology Technologist (RT) performs -x-ray and CT scans
ordered by the Emergency Room Physician and assists all providers
with tasks delegated and within their scope of practice. Radiology
Technologists are responsible for maintaining quality, safety, and
customer-focused service. - Radiology Technologists educate
-patients and family members regarding studies performed during
their Emergency Room visit.Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of
Radiologic TechnologyAt least 2 years of radiologic/imaging
experience and CT experienceRegistered with the American Registry
of Radiologic TechnologistsCurrent State licensure and -BCLS
CertificationProblem solving abilities - ability and initiative to
intervene immediately if needed for patient safetyAbility to read,
write and communicate with patients, caregivers and other medical
professionals.Computer proficiency in healthcare context - EMR,
documentation, safety, complianceER Experience PreferredJob Duties:
Excellent Customer Service -Courtesy
and respect for every staff memberDocuments all findings
accuratelyCompletes documentation for females of childbearing age
-and diabetic patientsAccurate documentation of lab -testing,
critical values, and communications.Initiates IV access with
physician's order and obtains specimens for laboratory
testing.Maintains patient -log for CT and x-ray. -Performs all
daily lab and equipment checks for quality assurance.Maintains the
facility in clean working order in accordance with OSHA and reports
any equipment failure or deficiencies to the Nurse
Manager.Accurately documents any incidents and reports them to the
Nurse Manager and Physician on duty.Uses Biohazard containers
