Job DescriptionChristus EMS is currently hiring EMTs and Paramedics for its stations located throughout East/Central Texas. The EMT-Basic and EMT-Paramedic are responsible for administering appropriate emergency medical treatment to people who have been injured in accidents or have other medical conditions and assists in rendering advanced emergency medical treatment. Must be able to operate an advanced life support ambulance to administer care. Routinely assists with the inspection of the ambulance and related equipment to ensure proper operation and sanitary cleanliness. EMT / Paramedic Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; and completion of approved Training Program
• Minimum of one year of experience in EMT / Paramedic duties and responsibilities preferred.
• Experience and/or training all required medical equipment and tools as it relates to job duties.
• Current certification from Texas Department of Health as a Texas EMT (Basic, Intermediate/Advanced or Paramedic)
• Must never have been fined, excluded from, or have had any restitution obligations from a federal health care program, or any governing agencies overseeing the operations of Christus EMS.
• Must possess and keep current a Class C Texas Drivers license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• At hire, or after Christus EMS designated period, must have and keep current ACLS, PALS, BTLS and EVOC certifications.As an EMT / Paramedic with Christus EMS you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package to include:
