exceptional Software Engineering Manager who will lead by
example-being an individual contributor, guiding, mentoring, and
building alongside the engineering team, while still actively

perfect role for you.Your Impact and Responsibilities:
- Lead and Code: Manage a high-performing remote engineering team
while being a personal contributor to the codebase regularly. Lead
by example in technical decisions and problem-solving.
- Code Quality Stewardship: Conduct detailed code reviews to
maintain best coding practices, ensuring top-notch quality and
maintainability across all projects.
- Agile Execution: Implement and refine Agile SDLC processes,
enabling smooth project management and timely delivery.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with finance,
asset management, and investment professionals to design and build
software that aligns with business goals and solves complex
challenges.
- Cultivate a Learning Culture: Foster a dynamic environment of
continuous learning, encouraging your team to stay ahead of
emerging technologies and trends.
- Optimize Performance: Track team performance metrics and
develop strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code
quality.What You Bring to the Team:
- Technical Mastery + Leadership:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least
5+ years leading engineering teams.
- Strong experience in finance, oil & gas, fintech, or investment
management is highly preferred.
- Hands-On Leadership: You love building as much as you love
leading-actively coding and solving problems alongside your team
members.
- Exceptional Communication: Ability to clearly articulate
technical concepts to both engineering teams and non-technical
stakeholders.
- Team Empowerment: A proven track record of fostering
collaboration, empathy, and psychological safety within engineering
teams.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Excited about building innovative
solutions and unafraid to take calculated risks to drive
value.
- Strategic Vision: Adept at balancing day-to-day execution with
long-term goals, ensuring that projects align with the company's
mission.
- Detail-Oriented: You have an eye for precision-whether it's in
coding, project management, or understanding complex financial
systems.
- Education: A Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related
field is a plus, but equivalent hands-on experience will be
seriously considered.Technical Skills:
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Ruby on rails or Python with a deep
understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- API Design: Develop and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs,
ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- System Design: Architect and design scalable, reliable, and
secure systems that support business needs.
- Web Development: Strong experience in web development, cloud
technologies, and Docker.
- Cloud Native: Expertise in developing cloud-native applications
with hands-on experience in DevOps practices.
- Databases: Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases like
PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Message Queues: Experience with message queues like Kafka.
- Distributed Systems: Strong understanding of distributed
systems, scalability, and availability.
- SaaS Applications: Hands-on experience in designing and
developing enterprise SaaS applications.
- Data Modeling: Experienced in data modeling and polyglot
persistence, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Architecture: Experience with cloud architecture, application
architecture, and network architecture.
- Project Management: Expertise in Agile methodologies with a
proven track record of delivering projects on time and within
scope.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration and
