What Materials Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Materials Management is responsible for the management of material
inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and
manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the
plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the
planning and procurement of material components to minimize
obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum
customer service levelsQualifications
- High school diploma required
- degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience
- 3+ supervisory/management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
productsAccountabilitiesThis position is directly responsible for
quality and regulatory performance requirements of the Medical
Device Directive, ISO 13485:2003, CMDR, and FDA (i.e. QSR) in the
quality elements under his/her control. This position is
responsible for documenting the responsibility, authority, and
interrelationship of all appropriate personnel who perform and
verify work affecting quality and regulatory compliance. This
position alerts the Quality Assurance and/or Regulatory Affairs
departments to significant quality and regulatory issues when they
become evident.What is expected of you and others at this level
- Manages department operations and supervises professional
employees, frontline supervisors and/or business support staff
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures to
achieve specific goals
- Ensures employees operate within guidelines
- Decisions have a short-term impact on work processes, outcomes,
and customers
- Interacts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at
various management levels may interact with senior management
- Interactions normally involves resolution of issues related to
operations and/or projects
