Biomerics operates under certified ISO 13485:2016 quality system and is FDA-registered.Job Summary:The Senior Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.Benefits - At the direction of the Group Manager Human Resources; administer and coordinate health, dental, life, 401k, etc. benefits; including coordinating with employees on FMLA or Work-Related illness absences for reimbursement of insurance premiumsSafety - Handle OSHA requirements, employee safety and related training. As well as accidents and illnesses through collaboration with site EHS LeadRecruiting and Development - Proactive recruiting assistance; post positions for company and screen applicants. - Train and provide support to HR team members - Participate in succession/replacement planning - Attend job fairs as neededStrategy - Provide integration support for M&A - Implement new systems. - Monthly/weekly reporting to Group HR ManagerAdministrative - Maintain updated Employee Handbook. - Write and update job descriptions as new positions are created or as needed. - Back up for processing of bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. - Performs other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. experience is considered.At least two years of human resource management experience preferred.SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR a plus.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.Requirements:Supervisory Responsibilities: - May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of HR staff in the department - May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluationsDuties and Responsibilities:Employee Engagement - Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience - Administer and implement employee policies - Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues - Initiates one-on-one interactions with employees by walking manufacturing floors, talking with employees, taking suggestions/complaints/concerns, and developing a plan for improvement through collaboration with division SLT. Reports challenges to the Group HR Manager if necessary - Listen, mediate, and make suggestions regarding work-related disputes to find acceptable resolution - Investigate employee complaints including harassment, bullying, and discrimination. Involve Group HR Manager when necessary - Assist Manufacturing Managers and Supervisors with employee discipline including preparation of termination and severance letters - Assist Admin with helping to organize event planning at facility - Manage employee appreciation awards/recognition
