Ecolab is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its chemical
manufacturing blend plant in Tyler, TX. The quality engineer is the
primary Quality Assurance resource for inspection of all incoming
products. The position designs and recommends processes for
efficient and quality manufacturing.

What You Will Do:
Assures consistent quality of production by developing and
enforcing good manufacturing practices (GMP's) systems; validating
processes; providing documentation; managing and handling the
Assists Quality department with complaint investigations (training,

Work with Manufacturing, Logistic, R&D and Corporate Quality to
identify root causes of quality issues and implement processes to
resolve and prevent issues, working to continuously improve process
and testing capabilities. Drive complaints and other quality
Effectively support the development and revision of applicable
standard operating procedures and work instructions specific to
responsibilities within the Quality department as needed.
Supervise site level management of quality system elements for:
Incoming Inspection, In-Process (WIP) Inspection, Finished Goods
release for distribution, Control of Non-Conforming
Materials/Products and Quarantine Inventory, Calibration Program,
Serve as the primary quality assurance contact for all issues
pertaining to the quality of the product from incoming inspection
of supplier's material to the final inspection of products.
Ensure proper inspections have been performed to ensure product
quality. This will include the inspection of incoming material as
well as in process and final inspection of completed product.
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives
concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that
effective corrective action is implemented.
Serve as the quality assurance representative to the Materials
Review and maintain calibration certificates/records for compliance
and accuracy to ensure calibration was performed per established
Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing
information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing
and completing action plans; implementing quality, and
customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems;
completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing
Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications
and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence;
determining operational and performance qualification; writing and
updating quality assurance procedures.
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing
and summarizing information and trends including failed processes,
corrective actions, and re-validations.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting
ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring
opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical related field.
2+ years' experience in quality, healthcare, medical device or
science related role
Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical Quality,
Manufacturing, R&D, or Engineering function.
Experience in an ISO13485/ FDA GMP manufacturing background.

Advanced degree in a technical field, including engineering,
biology, microbiology, or chemistry.
Project management experience
2+ years' experience in a lean manufacturing environment, Lean Six
Sigma, or 5S experience (certification preferred).
Possess the ability to be self-directed and simultaneously manage
multiple projects and objectives.
Outstanding team building skills are necessary, as the position
will be required to work with suppliers, engineering, plant
manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure the Ecolab deliverables are
Demonstrate experience in standardized quality tools such as FMEA,
SPC, problem solving, and statistics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent interpersonal communication (written and verbal) skills;
preferring some technical writing skills.
