Overview -
The VP of Marketing is an executive management position that leads
Cavender's marketing team. This role will drive the marketing
strategy and achieve the desired business results for the company.
This leader focuses on creating and implementing the strategic
brand vision for the company and will drive new customer
acquisition, omni-channel foot traffic, customer retention and
loyalty. The VP of Marketing will inspire the strategic vision,
voice, and style of the Cavender's brand. They will conduct market
research, set goals, implement plans, execute the vision, and
maintain the appropriate brand image of the company. -The VP of
Marketing will inspire and lead creativity and operational
efficiency in graphic designers, photo studio, digital marketing
team, customer relationship management, public relations, and
events, and supporting staff. This role heavily supports
Merchandising, Ecommerce and Store Operations. The position reports
to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. This role
requires a high degree of partnership, collaboration, and
flexibility to get the job done, while bringing together a common
marketing and brand vision across the company. The role requires
strong leadership, possessing a driven, highly detailed, and
creative skill set in leading digital marketing, CRM, loyalty,
traditional marketing initiatives. This role must be determined to
deliver results through continuous improvement of Cavender's
customer experience. This role has a keen focus on the customer
experience, professionalism, and partnerships, internally and
externally to Cavender's. -
Duties and Responsibilities -
- Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision,
and Values -
- Serve as a strategic partner and key support resource to the
company -
- Oversee and lead our marketing team including creative
director, public relations, digital, CRM, photography, and others
to deliver business results for the company -
- Develop strategies for products and services that will deliver
lifetime customer value through increase brand awareness, unique
differentiation, attracting and retaining customers -
- Develop, nurture, and protect the Cavender brand standards
ensuring highest levels of consistency, execution, and excellence
at every customer touchpoint -
- Inspire, lead, and nurture creativity and quality in the work
across the marketing department -
- Review current trends and advertising methodologies to
determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies

- Develop, deliver, and analyze KPIs and metrics to determine the
optimum return on investment for marketing -
- Research competitors to stay current and ahead of the market
trends -
- Develop, lead, and grow key vendor partner relationships around
all marketing aspects, developing coordinated campaigns driving
brand growth, interest, enthusiasm, and customer activation -
- Work closely with the Merchandising, Ecommerce, Store, and
Customer Relation teams to ensure that Marketing is delivering
exceptional internal service to drive the business successfully

- Collaborate with all executive partners to maximize the
efficiency and success of the business as a whole -
- Work with Creative Director to determine and develop the best
content (text, visuals, and video) to serve our customer -
- Work with Creative Director to create Visual Merchandising
Standards and create an excellent customer experience through
Visual Merchandising -
- Make focused decisions based on brand integrity and company
values to ensure an understanding of our core customer for highest
customer satisfaction -
- Set, execute and manage marketing budgets achieving all
financial goals -
- Lead talent management within the marketing department -
- Set priorities, foster cohesion, and provide motivation to
cross-functional teams -
- Performs other related duties as assigned -
Qualifications and Requirements -
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management, or
related field or equivalent work experience -
- 12+ years of progressive and successful experience marketing

- 8+ years of successful experience in marketing leadership roles
with a track record of meeting company KPI's and business
objectives -
- 5+ years of progressive experience and knowledge in the retail
environment -
- In-depth knowledge of brand development in a multi-channel
retail environment -
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful
marketing campaigns -
- Successful track record in building and maintaining a strong
company brand -
- Solid knowledge and practical experience with Digital
Marketing, CRM, CDP, SEO, and Analytics -
- Proficient in Mac operating system, Adobe CCS, Microsoft Office
Suite -
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills -
- Adaptable and flexible style that fosters collaboration while
delivering results -
- Based in Tyler, TX at our home office, Tyler area residence

- Ability to travel to meet the needs of the company, 15% on
average -
